Clockwise is the flexible workspace that works for its members. In the latest of a series of blogs, we find out from Clockwise members how the space in the iconic Savoy Tower is helping businesses to grow in Glasgow. Here, we speak to Ben Howell, Marketing Director at Cup Glasgow, on the benefits of the tailored service provided by Clockwise.
Cup Glasgow is one of the city’s most creative, agile and successful hospitality businesses. We own and operate Cup Tea Rooms, Gin71, The Gin Spa and Ambr Tea. Cup Glasgow is all about a fresh approach to hospitality. We want to give our customers memorable and exciting experiences that get them to engage in a different, more thoughtful and engaging way with food and drink, whether that’s through tea-inspired dining or dedicated gin tasting events. Our latest venture, Gin Spa, is a case in point. It’s the very first botanically-themed day spa in the world that brings together our deep understanding and knowledge of gin botanicals, with our focus on crafting superb customer experiences, right here in the heart of Glasgow.
We wanted something that would fit naturally with our business. Somewhere that felt modern and contemporary and which could embrace our sense of freedom, quality and imagination as well as our demand for flexibility. A place where we’d feel completely comfortable welcoming customers, suppliers and partners; where we would enjoy working and where we too could feel inspired. This is a place that we’re proud to call our HQ.
Clockwise is great for everything that we need. Office space is tailored exactly to what we want. The meeting rooms are quick and simple to book, if, and when, you need them, complete with a choice of break-out areas. The club lounge is a more informal space that’s perfect for taking time out, catching up with other businesses in the Clockwise community or for going to or hosting larger scale talks or networking events. There’s even a really smart outdoor area which we think will be perfect for a Gin Festival when the weather improves this Summer! At the moment, we’re on the second floor, right along from reception, where Kirsten and Charlie from Clockwise do an excellent job in greeting visitors on our behalf, and making sure they’re well looked after, just as we’d expect our own employees to do. They give a great first impression for our business.
Clockwise already has so much to offer, but with new floor fit-outs now in progress, there’ll soon be plenty more. The space is fantastic. So too, are the people. It’s that combination that, for us, makes Clockwise the best place to run a business in Glasgow.

Everyone has their own independent office needs. Whether it’s plenty of room at your workstation, a comfortable breakout area or modern and up-to-date equipment, these factors may end up being fundamental to your workplace happiness. If you’ve found that you resent coming to work at your current office space, here are a few indicators that […]
It isn’t that long ago that office design was all about cubicles and a lack of interaction. The open plan office changed all of that, and as a business trend, it continues to be the dominant form of office design. The transition from a personal workspace to one that is more open and shared is […]
For some, the benefit of a regular 8-hour job is the structure it provides to their day. However, for others, this has become an outdated norm. When we have families to look after, school-runs to tend to and socialising to enjoy, the traditional working hours may no longer work for us. It’s for this reason […]
