Looking back to our launch night almost seems strange now, given that Clockwise has been up and running for several months. Regardless, this seems as good a time as any to reflect on what was a successful launch event, enjoyed by dozens of guests.
We spread the word about our launch event across the city, and spread it did, with attendees coming from the many nooks and crannies of Glasgow’s diverse business community, and beyond. From real estate professionals to budding startups (including some of our existing tenants) the guest list included representatives from a mix of industries with a variety of interests in our project.
Thankfully, the weather was fantastic – possibly the hottest day of the year – allowing guests to appreciate the Clockwise offering in the best possible light. As a result, our 2nd-floor roof terrace proved to be a particularly popular spot to enjoy a selection of delicious cocktails, courtesy of Gin71. Entertainment was also on hand, including the dulcet tones of local busker Paul Howie, as well as the bamboozling illusions of local magician Michael Neto. DJ Mark Robb maintained the party atmosphere with a tasteful selection of music.
We documented the evening with a video of the festivities, including some kind words from a few of our existing tenants. Check it out below – you may well see several familiar faces.
We also had representatives from the Herald on hand in order to cover the event for the social section of their publication. We were delighted with the resulting cover spread, replete with plenty of smiling faces.
Launching Clockwise has been hard work from the word go. Our very own Community Manager, Lesley Anne Jeffrey, has been instrumental in this process and was heavily involved in organising the launch event. She shared her thoughts:
“Getting Clockwise off the ground has been a strenuous process, but seeing the space finished is incredibly rewarding. I was so glad that the event was a success, and was pleased to see so much interest on the night.”
We also caught up with an attendee of the event, John Loudon, of web agency Loudon Design:
“I am very impressed with what they have done with the place. It is really polished operation and would definitely be a great place to set up shop. The launch event was good fun and reflected the diligence that has clearly gone into their project thus far. I met plenty of ambitious and talented professionals from all walks of life.”
An enjoyable evening was had by all in attendance. We are so grateful to those who came to share in our celebrations and hope that all were suitably impressed by our offering.

Work. We spend a lot of time doing it, thinking about it, talking about it – even singing about it if your name happens to be Rihanna. It’s such a big part of our lives, we reckon everyone should have a work space that keeps it 100, 100% of the time, even if you only […]
