Sustainability in Business
Join the Chamber of Commerce this month for our Skill Development session – Sustainability in Business, delivered by Katy Murdoch.
Katy Murdoch is a Sustainability Consultant, working with businesses to develop sustainable strategies that align with what scientists and the UN say we need to do.
In this session you will be armed with the skills and tools to mount a non-political, optimistic, science-based response to climate change within your organisation. The first half of the session will include:
A detailed introduction to sustainability and its implications for businesses and business leaders
An opportunity to explore the environmental and social impact of corporate activity
A summary of the impacts of different business sectors
An interactive activity to explore the benefits of taking corporate sustainability action
After a break, the second part of the session will include:
Examples of good practice, tools and practical solutions to support you to take positive action within your organisation
Interactive sessions to explore which of the Sustainable Development Goals are most material to the business you work in
The skills to appraise performance and the inspiration to take further action
When business-as-usual means mass extinction, there is a moral obligation to act!
